This place is a great find for the celiac person who has to be gluten free! I’ve been newly diagnosed, and it’s been hard finding places that have SAFE goods that are also flavorful! I loved seeing the girl at the counter handle everything with such care and she even CHANGED HER GLOVES! I LOVED that! I felt very taken care of, and safe! These are just delicious! Eating my second one right now! Love the gluten free s’mores! I will be coming back 🩵🧁

I have been here a couple of times and my visits have been consistently pleasant. There's plenty of parking in back and you can enter from either the front or back of the building. The seating is limited so plan ahead at peak times. There's a couple of seats in the window that provide plentiful natural light during the day and everything is low lighting by sundown. The menu clearly labeled gluten-free options. They were plentiful and as someone with a gluten-free restriction, I went with Kristen's Stir Fry and it did not disappoint! I especially recommend the Yellowfin Ahi Tuna as a starter. Someone in my party ordered the Smoked Pork Belly & Grits which was equally delicious and I may order next time. Our server was good and kept our glasses full. We opted to get dessert at an ice cream place not far since dessere options were scarce in the gluten-free department. Bathrooms are at the back and if you enter from the back, you will see them in the hallway as you enter the restaurant. They were clean and in good working order. Overall, I definitely recommend. :)

Good Service. Good atmosphere. Food is okay Italian with this one exception, they have AMAZING ITALIAN SAUSAGE. I have Celiac so I am so stoked to find a good steady go to for Italian. To all my fellow Celiac and gluten sensitive people there are some good and decent dishes there for you to try.

What an absolute GEM this speakeasy is for Cookeville! Hands down the most quality craft cocktails I’ve had in town with wonderful small bites to go along with your drinks. It’s very clear that there is such a great amount of care, detail, and passion that goes into the drinks, food, and service the staff puts into their work and into this place. They’re super inclusive with their menu as well—they offer delicious mocktails and have gluten free and vegan options for small plates and sweets! For those who are looking for finer fare and cocktails in a gorgeous setting, all while still being very approachable…. 1854 is the place! I’ll definitely be back as a regular guest! Keep up the great work, y’all!

Anyone trying to find gluten free options while out of town, knows the difficulty. I found this place on my Google search. It appeared to be a mom & pop type place, which is generally a good option, and decided to give it a try. Upon walking in, there was no one there, except three working there. A friendly man greeted us, not realizing that we weren't the usual crowd, and we needed to get our bearings, walking in for the first time. He took our order. We opted for the cauliflower crust (supposedly the best around) for each of us, and a couple waters. We sat at a table and waited for our food while other people came in and out. I looked around. Golf on the TV. Almost no wall art, no color-pop, nor decoration, except for being a Tennessee Tech supporter. Little Christmas anything for being two weeks before Christmas. We were sitting at a plain square black table. Soon, our food arrived. Thank goodness we were starving from our day's drive. The fella got our waters out of the refrigerator, located in their lobby/dining area. I would not have assumed that we could have gotten our own drinks from that fridge, and he didn't tell us thar detail at checkout. Honest critic. The pizza flavor was good. Thin crust, not powdery or burnt, but perfect. Good sauce and cheese. My man and I agreed that both pizza were definitely sparse on toppings, but agreeing thar they were good $42 after a generous, and expected 25% tip (or 30% or 35% requested), per the computerized checkout. Technically, it doesn't feel like a full-service, tipping experience, but I have a kind-hearted man. For the $42, we either could have gotten more expected toppings, or perhaps eaten elsewhere for the price of dine-in. 3+1/2 stars. Perhaps your new customers could be treated with the same enthusiasm as regular recognized customers and build your client base. Every person counts.
