Food was fantastic! We had a large group, with children so we called and made a reservation for just after opening (4pm). We were given a 430 reservation and seated precisely at that time. The place was already packed when we were seated, so there were obviously other reservations. Our servers were very nice but we weren't brought waters or anything other than what we ordered; not a huge deal. We had steak and crab meat; both were cooked perfectly to our order. Crab was the best I'd ever had. My 10oz filet mignon was a 8/10, just a bit plain. I wish they did a little rub or something. Bread was fresh and made from scratch. Others in my party had the she-crab soup and said it was the best they'd ever had. There were a ton of gluten-free options. Atmosphere was very noisy but fun; Even with all the noise, we got a few dark stares from the manager, when one of our kids was crying. Pricing was $$-$$$.

Very cute restaurant with great historical value. We sat at the upstairs bar with a nice view the ocean we were very very happy to know they have a gluten-free menu. The catch of the day, was reasonable priced and quite tasty. It’s a must go to when you’re in the Outer Banks.

Had a delicious shrimp bowl (gluten free) and cole slaw. Amazingly good. Grandson's chicken tenders looked great (kid approved) Daughter's salmon was delicious. I'm glad we stopped!

This was our first time here and we enjoyed it so much! The staff (Stacy was our waitress she was outstanding and very personable), the service, the quality of the food and the ambiance having the best views of the sunset in oak island/Southport was remarkable! The fresh catch was truly so very fresh and cooked perfectly! The margaritas were top notch! We definitely recommend the shrimp burger and the oysters on the half shell! Wow we have traveled all over and found the food to be amazing! We got to speak to Cindy the owner who made us feel so welcome and made us feel like a regular even though this was our first time! We will become frequent visitors of this establishment and can’t wait to come back again! And if you’re gluten free they have a ton of options available especially the crab cakes which were out of this world! Everything is so very fresh and delicious! You just stop in here on your next visit to oak island or Southport!

The food here is great. They offer gluten free fried or broiled fish. They are very knowledgeable about gluten. The staff is very good as well.
