Gluten-Free Dumplings! Not only that but the Gluten-Free Dumplings of my dreams!!! The cocktails menu was so fun and the bar tenders were a delight. It was busy the night we went but we snagged two seats in the corner of the bar and had an amazing time. The chicken skewers were delicious (that sauce) and my spouse got the Kung Pow Chicken which he raved about. But, truly, this visit was all about the dumplings 😍

I only had the side order of Mac & Cheese, it was not hot. Was warm, but not hot. If it were hotter may have tasted better. But it still tasted good. They had Gluten-free options for my wife. She enjoyed her pressed grilled cheese sandwich, She too indicated that it was only warm. The cheese was not runny. Thought it was odd that the food was only warm as we waited about 8-10 minutes for our food. Saw others with very runny cheese in their sandwiches. Another note, this place was full of smoke from cooking. Enough smoke to just start to irritate your eyes. I would love to try this place again, when I am in the mood for a grilled cheese sandwich.

100% plan on returning to ViA VECCHiA. I will be bringing a ring to propose to either the Lumache or the waiter. I can’t decide which was better. All the cocktails were out of this world! Pasta (gluten free options (yay!)) was cooked perfectly. I want the bread and butter to be my best friend. And the beets small plate was the ideal appetizer to prime the palette. Highly recommend, I will be telling all my friends who visit Portland.

A small, very busy and festive environment that is worth the wait. The food here was amazing and the margaritas where full of mouth watering flavor! This is a safe haven for celiacs (gluten free) and almost everything on the menu is gluten free with a handful of exceptions. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer questions.
