Awesome food and love that they had gluten free options! The service was a little chaotic, but it seemed like a bunch of overwhelmed college kids. The hot cider was delicious as were the gluten free crepes. Breakfast potatoes were also so so good! The Brie and apples crepe was marked as savory but it definitely fell more on the sweet side, but was very tasty!

Even if this place is not a "gluten free" place, they offer a wide selection of gluten free food. We were a group of 6, including 2 gluten intolerant/coeliac and we had the gluten free pizzas (the small ones (that are not that small!!) can be gluten free, but the large ones are not available gluten free (not a big deal, btw!!)) This is absolutely tasteful and the 4 of us that had those GF pizzas without needing them to be GF didn't see any difference with regular pizzas! The place is warm, nice and the service is fast and always comes with a smile. Located in the Church Street area, this place is truly a must. We will be back for sure!!

Wow! Vegan food that doesn’t even taste vegan?! This was a great find! Pingala Cafe & Eatery is a really cool cafe right on the banks of the Winooski River - you can sit outside on their porch and listen to the water flowing nearby! They have an excellent selection of salads, snacks, sandwiches, bowls, and other food - all vegan! It’s very healthy, and I believe almost everything is organic too?! Almost all foods can be made gluten-free as well, which is an added benefit. It looks like they have a good amount of different coffee drinks, so I’ll have to try that next time. However, regarding their food, their Crunchwrap Burger Bowl was really good - the girl behind the counter said many other things are as well. Other people are saying the French toast puffs are to die for, so I’ll be trying that next time too. I like the atmosphere of this place, prices are reasonable, and there is ample parking. All positives! Great place! Check it out!

Was pleasantly surprised by Butter Bar! There were fewer options on the menu than I anticipated but we were pleased to see so many gluten free and vegetarian options as neither of us eat red meat. We ordered the artichoke dip which came with house made corn chips - this was a creamy and crunchy masterpiece. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and the meat was on the thinner side but was incredible. Almost no fatty bits and the meat was juicy and tender - cooked perfectly. The bun it was on was also expertly crafted. I got onion rings and a Young at Heart ginger beer which is one of my favorite local businesses- glad this place has so many local VT offerings! My partner got the kale caesar salad which was amazing! And we were honestly both blown away by the quality. This is a great spot and awesome it is so close by. The wait staff were speedy and kind and the drink and dessert menu was extensive. We finished the Valentines evening off with a piece of delicious vanilla cheesecake and were surprised by how fair the bill was - less than 25 bucks a person for all that food!! Thank you Butter Bar, for a great dinner and experience!

Love that they have a dedicated gluten free fryer!! Celiac friendly, though the patty on my gluten free burger was a little small, still delicious! Nice vibe, will be coming back!

Love this place especially their brunch on Sunday! They have gluten free and vegan options which can be so hard to find! Their gluten free waffle is amazing as are all their breakfast sandwiches. Highly recommend checking them out whether you’re vegan, gluten free or a meat love. You won’t be disappointed!
