My boyfriend and I travelled down from Toledo for the Walleye vs. Cyclones game last night. I noticed this bakery is gluten and nut-free, which I had to stop in since I’m anaphylactic to nuts and haven’t ever been able to eat from a bakery. One of the workers, Noah, gave us a tour of all the options they had while we were ordering. He was very kind and patient with us while we ordered… especially since we didn’t know what we wanted because everything looked so good! The looks aren’t deceiving as both of our sweets were fresh and extremely delicious! I’ll definitely be back here the next time I’m in town!

My wife and I went for a causal date the other week and Kyle was our waiter. He was wonderful and was very mindful of my wife’s gluten allergy. He even recommended a gluten free desert which was fantastic. Thanks Kyle!

My daughter treated me to Happy Chicks on a recent visit. We chose Happy Chicks in particular as I have to eat gluten free/dairy free. It was a bit of a gamble, as she had not been there before to check it out, but the staff and the food were great! She had the breakfast sandwich on a croissant - the non-allergy version - and I had the same on a gf biscuit with df cheese. Both of us were very impressed with our food! The gf biscuit was really good, with actual crunch at the edges, and did not have the problematic dryness many gf baked goods suffer from. My next trip to the area will include an intentional visit to Happy Chicks! Excellent!

I realized at the last minute that we had three vegan guests coming to our wedding and there were not going to be any options for them at the buffet. Essen Kitchen came to our absolute RESCUE - they helped me pick a few boxed meals that matched the food style of the rest of the buffet and delivered them to our venue in OTR. Our guests told us everything was hot and delicious - and the gluten-free cookie was one of the best they'd ever had!! I truly couldn't be more grateful for y'all's help and incredible menu.
