We lucked into this place — we saw that it had “the best sushi in Portland” and my teenager scoffed and said, “I’ll believe when I taste it.” He’s a believer. We have to eat gluten-free so we ordered the usual GF appetizers — salad and edamame. Then we realized that almost the entire menu, *including tempura!!* is gluten-free! We ignored the salad and loaded up on shrimp tempura, sushi rolls with tempura, and sashimi. All of it was excellent and we crawled out of there, fat and happy. Highly recommend.

Delicious, took my celiac seriously. The black sesame brownie is to die for! Also highly recommend the green machine and the bamboo dragon rolls

As having a gluten allergy, I've missed any sort of Chinese food for some time and was treated to P.F. Change and can honestly say, hands down, I overate, overindulged and literally lived my best life eating here!

My husband and I have been coming to Sushi Pure for years. We love it. The food is lovely and safe for me (celiac). The one thing that we don’t like is being seated in the little room downstairs. The seat is too high or the table is too low so I feel uncomfortable the whole time. The wall is graffitied and makes me feel like the kid at the back of the classroom with the messed up desk. We asked to be seated somewhere else but they said there were no other tables available, the open ones were for other reservations. Next time we’ll say we don’t want to sit there when we check in. We love the restaurant, we just hate those weird booth rooms.
